April 23, 1974  Open Space Property Acquisition
   197.09 acres purchased for $412,800
The residents of Mont Marin paid one/half of the cost
through a special Tax District.  This was the first time
in the state of California that a tax district was formed to
purchase open space.



May 2, 1975  Bill Bartz letter opposing routing Route 1 on Lucas Valley Road
to enable access to the shore.


April 20, 1977  Marion Elkjer requests lighting at the corner of
  Lucas Valley Road and Canyon Oak.



March 20, 1986 MMHA is reactivated
          John Rojas elected as president.




February 12, 1987  Mont Marin Park lives on in Jerry Russom's Memory

February 1987 Maynard Willms appointed to fill Jerry Russom's position on the city council.

October 21, 1987  MMHA sponsored a Candidates Night for City Council candidates.
                        At the event the  North San Rafael Coalition of Residents was formed
                                and elected Shirley Fischer as president.

November 1987 Al Boro is elected to replace Maynard Willms' position on the city council. 
                               Maynard Willms did not run for election.
